On Ash Wednesday, we shall receive ashes and set out on the journey to Easter. On this journey, if we are open to the spirit, we shall receive a new life that is rooted in God and our spiritual life will flourish. There is a strong invitation to return to God with all our hearts. God our first love wants to lead us back to His heart, home, and source of love and joy and where life blooms. In this period, God teaches us that the meaning of life is the mystery of love and this is manifested in His Son Jesus Christ. We can only grasp this mystery if we are in constant connection with God through prayer. Perhaps to have a smooth and light journey with God, we might need to set aside some unhealthy distractions and desires that can act as a hurdle to continue on this journey where He is leading us. As we embark on our Lenten journey, let us continuously ask Him:
LORD, WHERE ARE YOU LEADING ME THIS LENT?
Amen.Nice lenten period insight.
The above reflection is true to the Lenten Season. God is leading me to the direction of personal conversion. I am asked to pray constantly/ praying without ceasing.
Jesus is my Lord and he wants me to be very much attentive to His Word and love Him as he loves me. To pay attention to the needy and the very poor. To have a heart of flesh for his people every where at home and abroad, especially during this time of Covid-19 Pandemic. Every day people are dying in thousands. My duty as a Religious of the Sacred Heart is to Pray for everybody for healing in the body of the Crucified Lord, Jesus Christ the crucified Lord in all humanity.
May we all as Christian stand together to pray and fast for a new heart and a new mind for peace Globally.
Where is Lent Leading me?
To personal Conversion by walking with the people of God towards Love of God and neighbor.
Lent is a time of my growth spiritually, by doing and making choices to good for others etc.
