Our spirituality is centered on the Heart of Jesus. A heart is the center of a human being, the place where feelings, thoughts, deep desires, and decisions reside. The Heart of Jesus speaks to us of what Jesus is, what he felt, thought, desired, and the choices he made.
The image of the Sacred Heart, with open arms tells us that:
- Jesus is a human being with a heart,
- with interiority,
- affection,
- options
Jesus’ open heart which was pierced on the Cross, invites us to enter into the mystery of God’s faithful and merciful love, but also into the open wounds of a world that still needs to be liberated, recreated and reconciled.
